Southern Maryland Traditional Music and Dance with participation of Southern Maryland Banjo Project will be putting on a contra dance demonstration with audience participation at 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 22nd at Nanjemoy Heritage Day at 4375 Port Tobacco Rd, Nanjemoy, MD 20662. Nanjemoy has a heritage of banjo dances from before the Revolutionary War (1774!). Come join in the continuing tradition. Participation in this event is free.
